Aiming for Zero Accident!

Since 2006, security is a major focus at Plastic Omnium, for each and for all, throughout the organization, from the operator to the general manager.
To support these objectives, tools and procedures have been developed such as 6 non-negociables security rules, ISO 45001 certification, IMH procedures, standard definitions etc… not forgetting training sessions to help mindset focus on safety.
A specific organization is dedicated to this zero accident international objective, on an operating level in every plant and site.

On october 23, 2019 will be launched the first Act for All day, gathering all employees around the 3 CSR pillars:
  • Entrepreneurial responsibility
  • Care for our people
  • Sustainable production
Act for all

Promoting diversity is a key lever for complementary and successful teams. Plastic Omnium is committed to avoid any type of discrimination within the company.

Through its membership at the Global Compact and its Code of Conduct, Plastic Omnium confirms, on a daily basis, its will to provide equal opportunities for all and suppress any discrimination.

    Two main focuses:
  • Women development, with the objective to reach gender parity at the Executive level by 2025, and a rate of 24% of women managers.
  • Mission handicap, created in 2018 in France to raise employee awareness, that has already lead to 13 recruitments.

Recruiting tomorrow’s talents is crucial to maintain our level of expertise and excellence, our customers satisfaction and innovation drive.

In 2018, 816 new employees have been recruited, focusing more precisely on:
  • Juniors recruitments (22% of managers recruitments) to ensure the transfer of knowledge and skills, and to meet the new competencies required by the up-rising technologies.
  • Internal mobility and promotion. The mobility rate reaches 10%, the objective is to supply 75% of managers positions with our internal talents pool.
  • Training: 83% of employees have followed a training course, focused on developing leadership and soft skills.

By implementing its plants close to its customers, Plastic Omnium locally participates to the economic development of the communities.

Strongly commited to local communities, the Group encourages philanthropic initiatives, chosen by each site at the closest of local needs: Emmaüs in France, Habitat for Humanity in Eastern Europe, Focus Hope and Children's Friends in the USA, Magic Bus in India...

International company with french roots, the Group also supports french Heritage, with the refection of the Coronation Room of the Versailles Castle, the renovation of the room of the Maison des Lumières dedicated to french philosopher Denis Diderot, in Langres (France), supports Georges Pompidou Modern Art museum, National Library François Mitterand, or Petit Palais in Paris.
